How I Met Your Mother/Mike & Molly/House/Hawaii Five-0/Castle/The Event

How I Met Your Mother – Natural History
There was a fund-raiser at the Museum of Natural History, and the gang all went, courtesy of GNB.  Ted ran into Zoey, and her husband The Captain who was played by Kyle MacLachlan.  In their storyline, she recorded him saying some negative things about GNB, and was going to use the recording against him to get him off the new building project.  Then she overheard Ted talking to The Captain, and when Ted said he respected her for what she is doing, she decided to delete the recording, and beat him fair and square.
Lily and Marshall had a disagreement about him continuing to work at GNB.  She was still under the impression that he eventually planned to quit working at the bank, and go to work saving the environment.  When he told her he was offered a 5 year contract and wanted to accept it, she was surprised and upset.  She went to a part of the museum that apparently houses fantasy flashbacks, and talked to “college Marshall” who made her see that corporate Marshall is a great guy, even though he may not be what either of them thought he would be at this point in their lives.
My favorite story this week was Barney and Robin.  They acted like 10 year olds, running around the museum touching things they weren’t supposed to touch.  It was all really funny and I love when they are written as friends.  I don’t understand why they were written so poorly when they were a couple, but are written so well as friends.  Barney had told the gang he had knocked down the big whale when he was 6, and eventually it was proven to Robin that it did actually happen exactly as Barney had described.  Then the bomb was dropped:  Barney’s “Uncle Jerry” who had taken him to the museum that day, signed all the paperwork that he was Barney’s father.  Barney still didn’t know who his real father is, and this came as a huge shock to him.  He asked Robin not to tell anyone about this, and he said right now he isn’t planning to try and find his Uncle Jerry.

Mike & Molly – Mike Snores
Molly was less than happy having to drag her stuff back and forth to Mike’s every night.  She also had a difficult time with his snoring, his bed, and just his stuff in general.  She missed her own stuff, which is understandable.  Mike did everything he could to make her comfortable and happy, including buying a new bed.  She finally told him she was exhausted from all the running back and forth between her place and his, and wanted to spend at least a few nights a week at her house.  Mike agreed to give it a try, and he saw first hand how difficult it is to be in someone else’s space.
There were some dumb jokes, the whole premise of Mike taking Carl bed shopping was stupid and unnecessary, and her family is still on my nerves.  I do love Mike and Molly’s relationship and I really liked it when he almost said he loves her, but I hope every episode isn’t one of them misunderstanding the other and then them straightening it out.  There is more to relationships than that.

House – Office Politics
Amber Tamblyn and Jack Coleman in this episode made me very happy before it even started.  I love that Amber is playing a very brainy medical student who is now on House’s team.
Amber’s character Martha wasn’t just smart; she was also honest and full of integrity.  She was a challenge to House in this episode, and I hope in many episodes to come.  She is going to fit in with the others as well, and I look forward to seeing her working with them.
Jack Coleman played the patient of the week, who the team eventually discovered had Hepatitis C.  The only treatment they were able to settle on was to give him Hepatitis A, but don’t ask me why, I didn’t completely follow it.  The treatment only works in 15% of cases, 85% of people die from it.  For this patient it worked, and he started to get better almost immediately.

Hawaii Five-0 – Mana’o
Danny’s former partner was killed, and IAB was on the case.  IAB was trying to prove the case that the dead cop was dirty, and Danny was trying to prove it wasn’t him.  The team proves Danny’s partner wasn’t the mole, wasn’t on the take, and wasn’t a bad cop.  He was a hero, trying to prove who the dirty cop really was, and they were able to give him back his reputation.  The family will be provided with all the benefits befitting the family of a fallen police officer and hero.  We got to see how loyal Danny was in this episode and how determined he was to prove his friend’s innocence.

Castle – Murder Most Fowl
I wish I could make a miniature Nathan Fillion/Rick Castle, put it him in my pocket, and carry him around with me all the time.  I would like to be able to pull him out of my pocket and listen to him talk and joke whenever I wanted.
A man is killed in the park, and after chasing a couple of false leads they discover a camera he had with him at the time of his death, on which are photos of his killer, committing a kidnapping.  The rest of the episode was the team trying to find out who the child was, and who kidnapped him.  Of course, they figured out where the child was being held, and were able to rescue him while at the same time they found all the men behind the abduction and arrested all of them.

The Event – I Know Who You Are
Thomas being Sophia’s son was unexpected.
We got a bit of insight and backstory about Sterling, and why he is so guarded and closed off to people.  14 years ago he was married, but through his father who was a high ranking government official at the time, Sterling found out she was a Russian spy.  He gave her the option to run away with him, both of them giving up their lives and careers, but instead she ran.  Sterling’s father killed her as she tried to pull out of the driveway and let Sterling take the “credit” to aid in his career.
Sean and Leila were still looking for her father and sister, and while they had help for about a minute, there really wasn’t any forward movement on their search.  They have a list of girls’ names but no idea what they mean, and a list of SEC abbreviations in Los Angeles, so my guess is that is where they are headed next.  In the meantime, Samantha, Leila’s sister, has been injected with something and was brought to a place where there are other children.  These children, mostly girls from what I saw, were children with aged faces.  Creepy and weird.
