No Ordinary Family/Glee/Sons of Anarchy/Parenthood

No Ordinary Family – No Ordinary Ring
Jim tries to stop some bad guys who are robbing high end weddings and Stephanie has to give a blood sample at work, while Daphne wants to tell her friend about her new found power.  Then she decided not to tell her friend.
It was nice to see Jim and Stephanie bonding a bit at then end, enjoying their powers a bit and getting to have a romantic dinner alone.
I have to say, if they don’t start moving some of these storylines along a bit, I may not be long for this show.  I feel like it’s time to step up the story in the lab, it’s time for Jim to start figuring out how to make the superhero/secret identity thing work, and time for the kids to come into their own with their powers as well.  It feels like it’s been stagnating a bit, and not really developing and moving forward at all.  I was kind of bored with tonight’s episode it felt like it was just a rehash of what we’ve already seen.

Glee – Duets
I came away from this episode feeling badly for both Artie and Brittany.  I think Brittany is really just looking for someone, anyone, to love her for who she is.  There are girls like this in most every high school in the country, girls who give it up too early, too easily, to anyone, just because they think it is going to get them love.  She’s ended up being used and tossed by every guy, and girl, she’s tried to love.
Artie didn’t see this, all he saw was he felt she had taken advantage of him, and taken away his virginity, even if he was a willing participant at the time.  He felt used and hurt, even though he should have known her reputation without having to be expressly told, I am sure Brittany’s reputation precedes her down the halls at school.
I liked the duets; each team brought something to the table that we hadn’t seen before.  Different combinations, different song choices and styles, and we finally got to hear Mike sing.  It was also nice for me to have the show focus just on the glee club this week.  No Sue, no Emma, only Kurt’s dad for a few minutes.  Sometimes the field is so crowded it feels like the central glee clubbers get neglected.  This week it didn’t feel like that at all.

Sons of Anarchy – The Push
Stahl is one cold hearted bitch.  She set up her partner/lover to take the fall for her, from Gemma’s deposition.  That story point is not over, I have no doubt.
Freakin’ Darby is back and stirring up trouble again.  He witnessed a one time only drug buy at a clinic and went right to Hale.  Then the sheriff’s department, with an assist from Charming PD, raided the SAMCRO clubhouse looking for drugs, thankfully they didn’t find any.
The Sons and Mayans have more or less buried the hatchet, at least for now.  Sons offer safe passage through Charming for their “product” and the Mayans pay them for the privilege.  In this instance, both clubs win.
Jax ended things with Tara.  I highly doubt it’s really the end for them, but it’s the end for now.  He finally did the deed with the porn star that has been after him since last season, which’s the one person Tara may not be able to forgive him.

Parenthood – The Booth Job
I am glad Adam went to the support group.  I think he went partly for Christine, but also because he realized he needs it as well.
It was nice to see all the couples acting like couples, doing things that couples do, and being coupley LOL.  I am glad the chaos is still being held at bay, and the show has settled down a bit.  I also really liked that Amber didn’t want to get high with her friend and their tutor, and left instead of giving in.  She is turning into a smart young woman.
